Top Ten Books For Readers Who Like (really) Emotional Books

I hate to cry – but these books pack an a serious emotional punch.

1. Me Since You by Laura Wiess

I cried for almost this whole book.

2. The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis

Gah, this book. It’s nothing like I have EVER read.

3. A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird #1) by Claudia Gray

Devastatingly beautiful.

4. Hard to Hold on To (Hard Ink #2.5) by Laura Kaye

Having been up and close and personal with soldiers with PTSD, AND knowing more than a few who have committed suicide… this book hit too close to home.

5. If I Stay (If I Stay #1) by Gayle Forman

No elaboration needed.

6. Hoodie by S. Walden

I read this book years ago, and I still find myself thinking about it.

7. Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

Just read it.

8. Chaos (Guards of the Shadowlands #3) by Sarah Fine

I didn’t CRY but my heart hurt.

9. Love Always, Kate (Love Always #1) by D. Nichole King

HA, pretty sure this was on my top ten last week. Seriously, this book is FULL of emotion.

10. Me Before You (Me Before You #1) by Jojo Moyes

This book will also make you think about your life, the quality of life and what you would do to make the ones you love happy.

I LOVE emotional books, but I have only read one on this list! (I obviously need to get reading) If I Stay was heartbreaking to say the least :’-(
Will be adding most of these to my to-read list! Thanks for sharing!

Hopeless and me before you! What great calls for this category. For me, the all time emotional book & possibly the only book I’ve ever shed a tear over was “You take the HIgh road” by Mary K Pershall!

Hi. This is me. Replying. For real. And not in my head, which is apparently what I did this morning rushing to go to work. Hahaha

Ok. You put Chaos on here and I want to freaking start crying right now because I am seriously TERRIFIED of that book. My heart…. I don’t even know if it can do it.

I have Me Since You and I never would have thought that one would be so emotional. Another one I’m scared of.

I do want to read Jojo Moyes book. I eye it every time I go into Target. LOL.

Hopeless definitely made me cry. I liked S. Walden’s Going Under and have been meaning to read more of her books.

Yesss! Exactly what I need 🙂 I’m definitely not the type of person to cry at books, so when they CAN make me cry I instantly put them high on my list (The Book Thief, My Sister’s Keeper, All The Truth That’s In Me) so this will definitely help me get into the genre of Feels, pain, and tears <3
Your selection is ah-mazing. Keep up the awesome work 😉

I’m scared of Chaos. I don’t know if I want to read it (JUST KIDDING, you’ll kill me if I don’t). Loved If I Stay and cried through the book AND movie. I’m kind of scared to read Me Before You even though I want to. Emotional books just make me wary, you know? I have to go into it when I’m in the mood. I will read it though because the movie! Sam Claflin! Haha 🙂 Ohh hard to hold on to. I crieddd. I was NOT expecting that from the novella. So good.
