I was contacted by to create my dream literary collection by browsing their collection of collectibles and antique books. There were SO MANY on there it was hard to narrow it down! I made it though, so check out which books would be in my Dream Library.

Lot #143

I love Moby Dick! To be honest, I have not read the full book, but it was read TO ME when I was little. I have always had this fascination with it since!

(This particular lot comes with 3 volumes, The Home Decorator and Color Guide and How I Make Wood Cut.)

Lot #151

“The Complete Works” of Shakespeare. I can’t even fathom how lovely this will look on my shelf! I love Shakespeare.

Lot # 3151

When I was little, I had this obsession with reading diary’s of other people. Could be because I was a nosy kid. That being said, combining my love for diary’s and history, this is one of the most awesome things I have seen. From what I am gathering, the entries are pretty generic and mundane but still. These sound awesome. Even though they have some wear and tear they are SO beautiful.

Lot # 110

I love the story of Sleeping Beauty – even though I am not BIG on fairy tales. Looking at all the photos for this lot, there are some very beautiful illustrations in it.

And there you have it! There were many, many others that I found while browsing There was this one collection of ALL of Edgar Allen Poe works and it was gone so be sure to browse often and bid because these beauty’s go fast!

Tell me your thoughts

Name a few books that would you include in your Dream Literary Collection.

I thought about it, but I haven’t read many LOL Maybe for the look of them though?

Yes, old journals are so much fun! I love going back and reading old random things I even wrote.

This looks absolutely lovely! Haha I kind of like reading other people’s diaries as well, but SHUSH. They look incredible – I think the wear and tear and actually the part that intrigues me the most. And while I’m not completely on board with Shakespeare (he scares me), I do think those spines look GORGEOUS! I’d love to have ALL of these on my shelf, lol.
