One of my favorite things about reading is the ability to escape into fictional worlds. Particularly fantasy, but that’s not here nor there.. However, there are some places that I would NEVER want to visit, let alone live in or be apart of. Below, I discuss a few of those with you!

The Hunger Games

I mean, really. This is pretty much self-explanatory, do I REALLY need to elaborate? Like, even a little?

The Soul Screamers – Netherworld

So. I would actually love to meet Kaylee IRL, and explore more of the world as a whole when it comes to the Banshees, Reapers and of course, the Mara. However. I would be scared to live in this imaginative world with the Netherworld right around the proverbial corner. Hellions, my friends. Hellions of the 7 deadly sins (and then some), drugs known as Demon breath and creepy ass creatures EVERYWHERE. Granted, MOST of said things don’t actually walk on our side of the world, but as this series has pointed out, time and time again, they ALWAYS have a way of surfacing.

Guards of the Shadowlands — Hell/The Shadowlands

Have you read this series?? Then you know about the Mazikin. If you have not read it – first of all, WHY? – but the Mazikin are creatures that posses or “inhibit” the human body.. Um, no. They are ruthless & cunning. Creepy. And just. No.

Penryn & The End of Days

Yeah. Angels running a muck. Killing machines, basically. And then you have the experiments. *shudders* I just.. This series gave me nightmares, yall.

Tell me your thoughts

  • Have you read these books? What do you think about their worlds?
  • What are some fictional worlds you would never want to live in, or visit?

Right!? I tried to go with the scariest but there are SO many. I will probably do another one soon!

And most fantasy/paranormal would be fun to just see. But scary!

Yep, would definitely avoid any dystopian worlds, or basically any worlds in which I’m more likely to die a horrible death ! I’d also any kind of “historical” settings, like Lord of the Rings, or A Song of Ice and Fire (although it could be cool to explore those worlds), I mean, they don’t even have bathrooms !
