Elusion was hailed as an exciting leap in technology—until users began to disappear amid rumors of addiction. Regan’s search for the truth led her and her new love interest, Josh, to Etherworld. Etherworld is a dimension hidden deep beyond Elusion's firewall, where players can hide, and ultimately fight back. Regan's father and others are here working to destroy Etherworld, but the longer they stay the less likely they'll be able to return to the real world alive.

Escape means attacking Elusion from within the program. It's dangerous and it’s a puzzle. And even if they manage it, how will they be able to stop Orexis from distributing Elusion to the masses when the people who run it are corrupt?

I received this book for free from The Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I had such high expectations heading into Etherworld – because my love for the first book, Elusion, was off the charts. It’s action packed, fast paced a full of twists you never saw coming.

Etherworld starts soon after Elusion ends – with Regan reuniting with her father and stuck in Elusion or rather, the Etherworld. But she isn’t alone. Josh – along with the other teens that have been stuck as well. Together, they search for a way back to the real world – so Regan can expose the real danger behind Elusion – not to mention, save her father.

I have to admit – a lot of scientific aspects of the novel went right over my head – leaving me to re-read large chucks of the book. I had the same issue with the first book as well. After awhile, I kind of gave up on the SCIENCE of it and just went along with the story. It’s complex and very detailed but my poor brain was hurting. The fast pace and action though made up for it all!

I still adore Regan and Josh – both individually and together. Regan is such a strong, determined and loving person you can’t help but admire her. Josh is like her rock, strong, steady and un-moving. He is so protective of the people he loves. I loved how he was there for Regan through it all – even when they disagreed.

Also, the ending was pure perfection.

Overall – I loved it! Although there were times where I was utterly lost – I still really LOVED this series. I highly recommend it if you haven’t started it yet!
